Caring for the trail. Connecting the west side.

Friends of the B&O brings neighbors, volunteers, schools, businesses, and community partners together to care for the B&O Trail and help it become a cleaner, safer, more welcoming place for everyone.

Whether you walk, run, bike, volunteer, donate, or simply believe in the power of connected communities, there is a place for you here.

What We Do

The B&O Trail is more than a path. It is a connection between neighborhoods, schools, parks, businesses, families, and future opportunities on the west side.

Friends of the B&O supports the trail through volunteer cleanups, community events, trail reporting, beautification projects, educational signage, partner engagement, and grassroots care for the places we share.

We believe small acts of care add up. A few hours picking up trash, clearing a section, planting native species, painting rocks, sharing information, or helping at an event can change how a community sees and uses its trail.
